Gotham City Improv is a theater, school, and community of comedic actors in New York City. Gotham City Improv is the sister company of the Los Angeles based improv company, The Groundlings.
Our 60 seat theater is home to some of the funniest performers in the city. And nearly all of our shows come with a ticket price of $10 or less! For more information on our shows, go to SHOWS.
Gotham City Improv offers a full training program, including short form improv, long form improv, sketch comedy writing, and specialty workshops such as Musical Improv, Commercial Voice Overs 101, and more. Graduates of our program perform in our theater. We also have ongoing shows in which our students get to perform, gaining valuable stage experience. Can't get here? That's okay, we'll bring the comedy to you! We are mobile entertainers who will customize a performance just for you and bring it to your party, school, or corporate event. Funkey Monkeys is a super group of professional musicians and comedians including former Gotham performers Mike Gold, former Gotham student Stuart Bogie, current Gotham student Eric Biondo, and created by old school Gotham performer (and composer for Nickelodeon's " Dora the Explorer") Joshua Sitron! They'll be performing a show for kids and parents that calls to mind "Seinfeld meets the Wiggles" Sundays at the Off Broadway Daryl Roth Theater. Sundays at 11:00 am and 2:00. All tickets $20 each.
